* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Fairfield County in central South Carolina...
  Southern Lancaster County in central South Carolina...
  Kershaw County in central South Carolina...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 451 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Great Falls,
  or 12 miles southwest of Lancaster, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Camden, Lake Wateree Dam, Kershaw, Heath Springs, Westville, Mt
  Pisgah, Cassatt, Liberty Hill, Goodale State Park, Lake Wateree
  State Park, Bethune, North Central High School, Bell Town Fire
  Station, Dekalb, North Towne Square Shopping Center, Mitford, Faith
  Christian School, Midway Elementary School, Pleasant Hill, and
  Kershaw Correctional Institution.

This includes Interstate 77 between mile markers 46 and 50.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Persons in campgrounds should seek shelter until this storm passes.

Severe thunderstorms can produce large capsizing waves and frequent
lightning. If on or near Lake Wateree move away from the water and
take shelter!
