...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM CDT SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Bastrop and Lee. Heaviest rainfall amounts are over an
area between Bastrop and Smithville, extending east to Dime Box
and Lake Somerville.
* WHEN...Until 230 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become
impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 943 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Far eastern Bastrop and Southern Lee Counties are the most
likely places to experience flooding.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Bastrop, Giddings, Smithville, Dime Box, Paige, Circle D-KC
Estates, Lake Somerville State Park & Trailway, Manheim,
Serbin, Hills, Northrup, Lincoln, Loebau, Old Dime Box,
Buescher State Park, Alum Creek and Bastrop State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
