...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Georgia, including
  the following counties, in central Georgia, Bibb, Bleckley,
  Crawford, Crisp, Dodge, Dooly, Houston, Jones, Peach, Pulaski,
  Twiggs and Wilcox. In west central Georgia, Chattahoochee, Harris,
  Macon, Marion, Muscogee, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor,
  Upson and Webster.

* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to produce
    heavy rainfall across portions of west central Georgia this
    evening and into the overnight hours. Two to four inches of
    rain is likely, with some locally higher amounts up to five
    inches possible.
