FLOOD STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI
1017 PM EST FRI JAN 20 2017

...The flood warning has been cancelled for the following rivers in
Southwest Lower Michigan...

  Grand River At Robinson Township affecting Ottawa COUNTY

.The water levels have fallen below flood stage.  With much of the ice
in the river gone in that region...it appears the water levels will
remain below the flood level.  As a result...the flood warning
was cancelled.  The following forecast is based on observed
and forecast 48 hour precipitation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Motorists should not attempt to drive around
barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  the Grand River At Robinson Township.
* at  9:32 PM Friday the stage was 12.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.3 feet.
* Fell below flood stage at approximately 4:00 PM Friday.
* Forecast, the river will continue to fall to 12.6 feet by Sunday
  morning.
* Impact, at 13.0 feet...River is bankfull.
* Flood history, this crest compares to a previous crest of 13.3 feet
  on Mar 24 1998.
