...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 PM EDT FOR
ISABELLA...MECOSTA AND NORTHERN MONTCALM COUNTIES...

Rain ended this morning but runoff from the recent heavy rains of 3
to 7 inches is still causing high water problems and areal flooding.
The heaviest rain fell around Mount Pleasant.

Many roads in the warning area remain closed due to washouts or
water over the road. In Isabella County alone, 90 roads were still
closed late this afternoon.

Some locations experiencing flooding include... Mount Pleasant, Big
Rapids, Howard City, Shepherd, Edmore, Lakeview, Morley, Mecosta,
Rosebush, Barryton, Canadian Lakes, Lake Isabella, Stanwood,
Sylvester, Amble, Wyman, Delwin, Winn, Rodney and Six Lakes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is
harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Campers and hikers
should avoid streams or creeks.
