THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS FROM ST JOSEPH TO MANISTEE MI...

AT 539 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS AND SMALL
HAIL. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 10
NM WEST OF MANISTEE LIGHTHOUSE TO 33 NM EAST OF NORTH PT. LT. TO 15
NM SOUTHWEST OF WINTHROP HARBOR...MOVING EAST AT 30 KNOTS.

THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE OPEN WATERS OVER THE
NEXT HOUR...AND WILL START APPROACHING THE NEARSHORE WATERS BETWEEN
7 PM AND 8 PM THIS EVENING.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
THE ST. JOSEPH LIGHT...THE MUSKEGON LIGHT AND MANISTEE LIGHTHOUSE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
