...DEVELOPING AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS FROM ST JOSEPH TO MANISTEE MI...

AT 324 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS
DEVELOPING ON THE WEST SIDE OF LAKE MICHIGAN.  THESE THUNDERSTORMS
EXTENDED FROM 7 NM NORTHWEST OF MANITOWOC TO 18 NM NORTHWEST OF THE
SOUTH HAVEN LIGHT...MOVING EAST AT 15 KNOTS.  BOATERS OUT OVER THE
LAKE WILL LIKELY SEE LIGHTNING ON THE INCREASE ALONG WITH INCREASING
WINDS AND WAVES THROUGH 530 AM.   THE STRONGER STORMS COULD GENERATE
GUSTS TO 33 KNOTS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
THE SAUGATUCK PIERHEADS...THE GRAND HAVEN LIGHT...
THE ST. JOSEPH LIGHT...THE SOUTH HAVEN LIGHT...
THE MUSKEGON LIGHT AND MANISTEE LIGHTHOUSE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
