THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS FROM ST JOSEPH TO MANISTEE MI...

AT 1004 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
EXTENDING FROM NORTH TO SOUTH ACROSS THE MIDDLE OF SOUTHERN LAKE
MICHIGAN AND WERE MOVING EAST AT 15 KNOTS. THIS ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED
TO REACH THE MICHIGAN LAKESHORE BETWEEN 11 AM AND NOON.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED WILL INCLUDE...
THE MUSKEGON PIERHEADS...THE MONA LAKE CHANNEL...
THE LITTLE SABLE POINT LIGHTHOUSE...THE ST. JOSEPH PIERHEADS...
THE GRAND HAVEN PIERHEADS...THE SOUTH HAVEN PIERHEADS...
THE HOLLAND PIERHEADS...MANISTEE LIGHTHOUSE AND ST. JOSEPH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE
HARBOR IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS. IF CAUGHT ON THE OPEN
WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE AND KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED
METAL OBJECTS.
