...MORE SNOW DEPTH RECORDS SET AT GRAND RAPIDS MI...

THE DEEP SNOW PACK AT GRAND RAPIDS HAS SET MORE RECORDS THIS
MONTH.

THE SNOW DEPTH WAS 24 INCHES AT GRAND RAPIDS THIS MORNING. THIS
BREAKS THE RECORD FOR DEEPEST SNOW COVER IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY
WHICH WAS 23 INCHES SET IN FEBRUARY 1936 AND TIED EARLIER THIS MONTH.

THE 24 INCHES OF SNOW IS TIED WITH JANUARY 28 1978 FOR SECOND PLACE
ALL TIME. THE GREATEST SNOW DEPTH ON RECORD AT GRAND RAPIDS IS 27
INCHES SET ON JANUARY 27 1978...JUST AFTER THE BLIZZARD.

THERE HAVE BEEN 14 CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF 20 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW ON
THE GROUND AT GRAND RAPIDS...FROM FEBRUARY 5TH TO THE 18TH. THIS
BREAKS THE RECORD OF NINE CONSECUTIVE DAYS SET FROM FEBRUARY 13TH TO
THE 21ST 1936 AND FROM JANUARY 14TH TO THE 22ND IN 1979.
