HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI
1131 AM EST TUE FEB 28 2017

...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:  Grand River at Eaton Rapids...
Comstock Park...Grand Rapids...Red Cedar at Williamston...Portage
River at Vicksburg...Pere Marquette River at Scottville...Little
Muskegon at Morley...


The current weather is dominated by a low pressure system that will
track northeastward through Michigan on Wednesdsay.  This system
will produce several rounds of rain...some of which will be heavy
at times.  This forecast reflects rainfall amounts of between 1 and 2
inches over the next 48 hours.  Many streams and creeks are forecasted
to see considerable rises from this system.

For the Portage River Near Vicksburg... no observed stage was
available.  The river is forecasted to rise to near 5.0 feet on
Thursday. At 5.0 feet... Expect overflows into wooded areas and
farmland adjacent to the river.

For the Grand River At Eaton Rapids... the latest stage was 3.5 feet
at 8 AM Tuesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 5.0 feet Thursday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 6.0
feet.  At 5.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor overflow into
low lying areas..

For the Grand River Near Comstock Park... the latest stage was 9.4
feet at 11 AM Tuesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 11.6 feet Sunday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 12.0
feet.  At 12.0 feet... Expect minor flooding of homes along Abrigador
Trail..

For the Grand River At Grand Rapids... the latest stage was 7.6 feet
at 11 AM Tuesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 12.4 feet Monday morning.  Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

For the Red Cedar River Above Williamston... the latest stage was 5.4
feet at 11 AM Tuesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.1 feet early Friday morning.  Flood stage is 9.0
feet.  At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low lying
areas adjacent to the river..

For the Pere Marquette River Near Scottville... the latest stage was
3.7 feet at 11 AM Tuesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum
stage forecasted is 4.1 feet Friday evening.  Flood stage is 5.5
feet.  At 4.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow of low lying areas
adjacent to the river occurs..

For the Little Muskegon River Above Morley... no observed stage was
available.  No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted is
4.0 feet Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 6.0 feet.  At 4.0 feet...
River is bankfull.
