HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI
1031 AM EST MON DEC 26 2016

The following forecasts are for rivers in southwest lower michigan...

For the Red Cedar River Above Williamston... the latest stage was 4.8
feet at 10 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.0 feet Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low lying areas
adjacent to the river..

For the Thornapple River Above Hastings... the latest stage was 3.8
feet at 10 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 5.5 feet early Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 7.0
feet.  At 5.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding of low
lying areas and farmland adjacent to the river..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
