HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI
933 PM EST THU JAN 21 2016

...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:  Pere Marquette River at
Scottville...

.A suspected ice jam on the Pere Marquette River is resulting in an
elevated river level near Scottville. The river may exceed
bankfull and produce minor flooding in low lying areas. Ice jams can
cause unpredictable fluctuations in river levels. The river will
remain elevated until the ice jam breaks up... the timing of which
is uncertain.

For the Pere Marquette River Near Scottville... the latest stage was
3.9 feet at 9 PM Thursday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum
stage forecasted is 4.0 feet tomorrow morning.  Flood stage is 5.5
feet.  At 4.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow of low lying areas
adjacent to the river occurs..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
