HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI
1204 PM EST MON FEB 27 2017

...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:
Sycamore Creek at Holt...
Looking Glass River at Eagle...
Flat River at Smyrna...
Thornapple River at Hastings...
Muskegon River at Croton...

.Runoff from the rainfall event late last week continued to produce
elevated river levels across West Michigan.  Additional rainfall will
occur Tuesday into Wednesday...producing new rises on area rivers.
The following forecast is based on observed and forecast 48 hour precipitation.

For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... no observed stage was available.
No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted is 4.8 feet
this afternoon.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

For the Looking Glass River Near Eagle... the latest stage was 4.6
feet at 12 PM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 4.8 feet this afternoon.  Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

For the Flat River Near Smyrna... the latest stage was 4.8 feet at 10
AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted
is 5.2 feet this evening.  Flood stage is 8.5 feet.

For the Thornapple River Above Hastings... the latest stage was 4.1
feet at 11 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 4.4 feet this afternoon.  Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

For the Muskegon River Near Croton... the latest stage was 8.0 feet
at 11 AM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The river has fallen M
feet in the past 24 hours.  Flood stage is 9.0 feet.  At 8.0 feet...
River is bankfull. River begins to exceed its banks and minor
flooding begins in low lying areas along the river..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
