following rivers or creeks: Grand River at Ionia...Red Cedar at
Williamston...Looking Glass River at Eagle...
.One to over two inches of rain has fallen since Wednesday... and
rivers are rising in response. The following rivers are expected to
approach or exceed bankfull over the next few days. This forecast is
based on observed and forecast 24 hour precipitation.
For the Grand River At Ionia... the latest stage was 8.8 feet at 10
AM Friday. The maximum stage forecasted is 13.8 feet early Monday
morning. Bankfull stage is 13.5 feet. Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
For the Red Cedar River Above Williamston... the latest stage was 5.1
feet at 9 AM Friday. The maximum stage forecasted is 7.0 feet Sunday
morning. At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low
lying areas adjacent to the river.
For the Looking Glass River Near Eagle... the latest stage was 3.0
feet at 10 AM Friday. The maximum stage forecasted is 5.3 feet early
Sunday morning. At 5.0 feet... River is bankfull. Flood stage is 7.0
