Hydrologic Statement
National Weather Service Grand Rapids MI
950 PM EST Mon Jan 22 2018

...Water levels on area rivers are forecast to rise near bankfull
over the next several days...

For the following rivers or creeks:
Grand River At Robinson Township...
Kalamazoo River Near New Richmond...
Flat River Near Smyrna...
Little Muskegon River Above Morley...

Melting snow and rainfall amounts up to 1 inch on Monday will
cause rivers to rise near or possibly just above bankfull.
Flooding of low lying areas near riverbanks may occur but is not
expected at this time. A breakup of river ice may lead to ice
jam formation which can cause quick and unpredictable fluctuations
in river levels. Continue to monitor later forecasts. The river
level forecasts are based on observed rainfall and snowmelt, as
well as forecast light rainfall amounts Monday night.

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Stay tuned to further developments by listening to your local
radio... television... or NOAA Weather Radio station for further
information.
