...WATER LEVELS ARE HIGH OR FORECAST TO HAVE SIGNIFICANT RISES FOR
THE FOLLOWING RIVERS OR CREEKS:  GRAND RIVER AT LOWELL...GRAND
RAPIDS...ROBINSON TOWNSHIP...RED CEDAR AT WILLIAMSTON...EAST
LANSING...

.THE CURRENT WEATHER IS DOMINATED BY AN APPROACHING LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM FROM THE SOUTHWEST. THIS WEATHER SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE AROUND
A THIRD OF AN INCH OF RAINFALL...AND SOME LOCATIONS COULD SEE UP
TO A HALF INCH TONIGHT THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING.
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN ABOVE FREEZING FOR MOST OF THE
REGION OVERNIGHT...SO IN GENERAL RIVER LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO
CONTINUE TO RISE DUE TO SNOW MELT AND THEN ALSO RAINFALL BEGINNING
LATE TONIGHT. THE FOLLOWING FORECAST IS BASED ON OBSERVED AND
FORECAST 24 HOUR PRECIPITATION.

FOR THE GRAND RIVER AT LOWELL... THE LATEST STAGE WAS 9.4 FEET AT 11
AM TUESDAY.   NO FLOODING IS FORECAST.  THE MAXIMUM STAGE FORECASTED
IS 11.5 FEET EARLY MONDAY MORNING.  FLOOD STAGE IS 15.0 FEET.

FOR THE GRAND RIVER AT GRAND RAPIDS... THE LATEST STAGE WAS 8.1 FEET
AT 9 PM TUESDAY.   NO FLOODING IS FORECAST.  THE MAXIMUM STAGE
FORECASTED IS 12.0 FEET EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.  FLOOD STAGE IS 18.0
FEET.

FOR THE GRAND RIVER AT ROBINSON TOWNSHIP... THE LATEST STAGE WAS 9.6
FEET AT 8 AM TUESDAY.   NO FLOODING IS FORECAST.  THE MAXIMUM STAGE
FORECASTED IS 10.9 FEET EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.  FLOOD STAGE IS 13.3
FEET.

FOR THE RED CEDAR RIVER ABOVE WILLIAMSTON... THE LATEST STAGE WAS 6.4
FEET AT 9 PM TUESDAY.   NO FLOODING IS FORECAST.  THE MAXIMUM STAGE
FORECASTED IS 7.7 FEET SUNDAY MORNING.  FLOOD STAGE IS 9.0 FEET.  AT
8.0 FEET... EXPECT MINOR FLOODING OF GOLF COURSE AND ADJACENT PARK IN
WILLIAMSTON.

FOR THE RED CEDAR RIVER AT EAST LANSING... THE LATEST STAGE WAS 5.4
FEET AT 8 PM TUESDAY.   NO FLOODING IS FORECAST.  THE MAXIMUM STAGE
FORECASTED IS 6.8 FEET EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.  FLOOD STAGE IS 7.0
FEET.  AT 7.0 FEET... EXPECT MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS...
ADJACENT PARKS... AND FARMLAND.
