The following forecasts are for rivers in southwest lower michigan...

For the Grand River Near Comstock Park... the latest stage was 10.8
feet at 7 PM Wednesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 10.9 feet this weekend.  Flood stage is 12.0
feet.  At 11.0 feet... River is bankfull..

For the Red Cedar River At East Lansing... the latest stage was 5.3
feet at 9 PM Wednesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 5.9 feet early Sunday morning.  Flood stage is 7.0
feet.  At 6.0 feet... River reaches bankfull and low lying areas
flood..

For the Chippewa River Below Mt Pleasant... the latest stage was 5.8
feet at 9 PM Wednesday.   No flooding is forecast.  The river has
fallen slowly in the past 24 hours.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
