...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:  Looking Glass River at Eagle...

.Wednesday`s system brought rainfall to all of Lower Michigan with
widespread, soaking rain affecting the interior and northern
sections of the state. Observed rainfall amounts over one-quarter of
an inch were common with many reports near or greater than one-half
an inch. Few locations reported over an inch of precipitation.

Another system will approach the Great Lakes Region late Friday
into the day Saturday. Locally heavy rain is possible, which is
expected to elevate river levels through the weekend. Most sites
will remain within banks, but a few sites could reach banfull. Some
uncertainty still exists with heaviest precipitation amounts trending
slightly south in the last couple of updates. The following forecast
is based on observed and forecast 48 hour precipitation.

For the Looking Glass River Near Eagle... the latest stage was 4.8
feet at 10 AM Thursday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 5.6 feet early Sunday morning.  Flood stage is 7.0
feet.  At 6.0 feet... Expect minor flooding of low lying wooded
areas..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
