HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI

...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:  Grand River at Robinson Township...
Red Cedar at Williamston...Flat River at Smyrna...Thornapple River at
Caledonia...Muskegon River at Evart...Chippewa River at Mt
Pleasant...

.River levels are above normal across Southern Lower Michigan, with
minor flooding ongoing. Rain will move over the area into Tuesday.
with much of the area looking at an inch of rain possible. This
will keep river levels high, and likely cause additional rises.
Another period of wet weather is expected Wednesday through Friday.
The following forecast is based on observed and forecast 24 hour
precipitation.

For the Grand River At Robinson Township... the latest stage was 11.4
feet at 10 AM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 12.5 feet Friday evening. Flood stage is 13.3 feet.
At 13.0 feet... River is bankfull.

For the Red Cedar River Above Williamston... the latest stage was 6.4
feet at 11 AM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 7.0 feet Wednesday early afternoon. Flood stage is 9.0
feet. At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low lying
areas adjacent to the river.

For the Flat River Near Smyrna... the latest stage was 4.9 feet at 11
AM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecast
is 5.6 feet early Friday morning. Flood stage is 8.5 feet.

For the Thornapple River Near Caledonia... the latest stage was 6.7
feet at 11 AM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 8.0 feet Wednesday morning. Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
At 8.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect overflow into low lying
areas along the river.

For the Muskegon River At Evart... the latest stage was 8.9 feet at
11 AM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecast is
9.9 feet Friday early afternoon. Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

For the Chippewa River Below Mt Pleasant... the latest stage was 4.8
feet at 11 AM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 6.4 feet early Thursday morning. Flood stage is 8.0
feet.  At 6.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding of low
lying areas adjacent to the river.

Safety message... Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
