The following forecasts are for rivers in southwest lower michigan...

For the Red Cedar River At East Lansing... the latest stage was 5.8
feet at 10 AM Saturday. No flooding is forecast. The river has
fallen 0.3 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 7.0 feet. At
6.0 feet... River reaches bankfull and low lying areas flood.

For the Muskegon River Near Croton... the latest stage was 7.3 feet
at 10 AM Saturday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecast is 7.6 feet Tuesday evening. Flood stage is 9.0 feet. At
8.0 feet... River is bankfull. River begins to exceed its banks and
minor flooding begins in low lying areas along the river.

Safety message... Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
