...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks: Sycamore Creek at Holt...Muskegon
River at Croton...
.High pressure will bring dry weather to Southwest Lower Michigan
tonight through Tuesday. A developing area of low pressure will then
organize over the Central Plains by Wednesday and travel northeast
into the Great Lakes Region. This is expected to spread showers and
thunderstorms over Michigan by late Wednesday into Thursday. Some
moderate to heavy rain could result with additional minor rises on
rivers late this week. The following forecast is based on observed
and forecast 24 hour precipitation.
For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... the latest stage was 5.4 feet at 9
PM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecasted
is 5.7 feet tomorrow morning. Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
For the Muskegon River Near Croton... the latest stage was 7.5 feet
at 8 PM Monday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage
forecasted is 8.1 feet early Wednesday morning. Flood stage is 9.0
feet. At 8.0 feet... River is bankfull. River begins to exceed its
banks and minor flooding begins in low lying areas along the river..
