...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks: Sycamore Creek at Holt...
.Heavy rainfall fell over southern sections of the forecast area
over the last 24 hours. Additional rainfall is anticipated tonight
into Saturday morning. Rainfall totals with the next round of
precipitation will be heaviest northwest of Grand Rapids.
However...heavy rainfall cannot be ruled out anywhere in the
in the CWA...especially in and around thunderstorms. The following
forecast is based on observed and forecast 24 hour precipitation.
For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... the latest stage was 2.8 feet at 10
AM Friday. No flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecasted
is 6.2 feet tomorrow early afternoon. Flood stage is 8.0 feet. At
6.0 feet... Flooding begins in low lying areas along the creek and at
the Lansing Municipal Golf Course and Scott Woods Park..
