...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 7 PM EST
TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND RAPIDS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 4 AM TO 7 PM EST TUESDAY.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * STRONG WINDS WILL DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT AND PERSIST THROUGH MUCH
   OF TUESDAY. GUSTS OVER 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED WHICH WILL RESULT IN
   CONSIDERABLE DRIFTING AND BLOWING SNOW.

 * FALLING SNOW IS EXPECTED TO RESULT IN ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4
   INCHES FROM LUDINGTON TO HARRISON...TO 1 TO 3 INCHES FOR GRAND
   RAPIDS TO MOUNT PLEASANT AND GENERALLY AN INCH OR LESS FOR
   LANSING AND JACKSON. ADDITIONAL SNOW IS POSSIBLE TUESDAY NIGHT.
   THE SNOW WILL ARRIVE IN THE LUDINGTON REGION FIRST BY 6
   AM...THEN BUILD SOUTHEAST TOWARD GRAND RAPIDS BY 11 AM. THE
   SNOW IS NOT LIKELY TO START IN LANSING OR JACKSON UNTIL THE AFTERNOON.

 * WIND CHILL VALUES OF 15 DEGREES BELOW ZERO ARE LIKELY AROUND
   DAYBREAK.

IMPACTS...

 * SNOW COVERED AND SLICK ROADS...SOME OF WHICH COULD BECOME
   IMPASSABLE IN RURAL OPEN AREAS.

 * NEAR ZERO VISIBILITIES AT TIMES ESPECIALLY NORTH OF A MUSKEGON
   TO BIG RAPIDS LINE.

 * POSSIBLE SCHOOL/EVENT DELAYS OR CLOSURES.

 * THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REMINDS MOTORISTS
   TO ADJUST SPEEDS BASED ON THE CONDITIONS... AND TO TAKE IT
