...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 4 PM EDT
FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory...which is in effect from 4 AM to 4 PM EDT
Friday.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * Intense burst of snow most likely between 4 AM and Noon.

 * Quick snow accumulations around an inch on roadways.

 * Brief freezing rain around mid day.

 * Visibility occasionally a quarter mile or less.

IMPACTS...

 * Hazardous travel with slippery roads and poor visibility.

 * Longer morning commute times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * The Michigan Department of Transportation reminds motorists to
   allow plenty of time to reach their destination. Take it slow in
   ice and snow.

 * Quick accumulations around an inch or more on roadways.

 * Visibility occasionally a quarter mile or less.

IMPACTS...

 * Hazardous travel with slippery roads and poor visibility.

 * Slower morning travel times.
