Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
451 AM CDT Sat May 4 2024

.DISCUSSION...Areas of dense fog are expected this morning. Patchy
dense fog will be possible in the south Sunday morning with
lighter fog development elsewhere. Isolated to scattered coverage
of mainly afternoon and early evening storms is expected today.
Greater rain chances are expected Sunday across the north as a
cold front drops in and stalls across the area. This cold front will
prolong rain chances across the area into Monday. A disturbance
will move across the region Tuesday and result in rain chances
across the northeast. Rain chances now look to continue across the
north Wednesday ahead of another low pressure system that will
bring additional rain chances to the region Thursday and Friday.
Warmer than normal temperatures are expected through Friday.
