...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT JEFFERSON AND SOUTHWESTERN
ORANGE COUNTIES THROUGH 845 AM CDT...

At 813 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Nome, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Beaumont, Port Arthur, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Nome,
Hamshire, Central Gardens, Bevil Oaks, China, Port Acres, Fannett, La
Belle, and Southeast Texas Regional Airport.

This includes Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 852 and
832.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
