The average temperature for the month was 52.7 degrees, which is 3.0 degrees above normal. 3.47 inches of liquid precipitation were recorded, which is 0.28 inches below normal. A trace of snow was recorded, which is 1.3 inches below normal. No daily or top ten monthly records were set for Chicago during this past April.
