...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PDT
SUNDAY ABOVE 4000 FEET...
* WHAT...Snow expected above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations
of 4 to 10 inches between 4000 and 6000 feet. Winds gusting as
high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Western and south-central Siskiyou County above 4000
feet. This includes Snowman`s Hill Summit on Highway 89 and
Etna Summit on Sawyers Bar Rd.
* WHEN...Until 5 AM PDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will lower down to 3500 feet
this morning and again Sunday morning in the Mt. Shasta area,
and light snow accumulations along I-5 between Dunsmuir and Weed
is possible. Snow accumulation will mainly be off paved
surfaces with snow melting as it hits roadways, but this will
still create slippery conditions, including with freezing
temperatures as snow tapers off early Sunday morning.
