The National Weather Service in Newport has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Neuse and Bay Rivers...
  Pamlico Sound...
  Pamlico and Pungo Rivers...

* Until 845 PM EDT.

* At 817 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from Hobucken to 8 nm north of Oriental to 11 nm east of
  The Vicinity Of Trent River, moving east at 45 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Oriental, The Mouth Of The Neuse River, The Vicinity Of Adams
  Creek, The Vicinity Of South River, Hobucken, Cedar Island, and The
  Vicinity Of Cedar Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.
