...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois...Missouri...

  Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau

.Recent heavy rainfall will cause the Mississippi River at Cape
Girardeau to rise above flood stage later today and remain in flood
until early next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau.

* WHEN...From this evening to early Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, The flood gate on Themis Street closes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 30.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this evening to a crest of 36.5 feet early Saturday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Monday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
