At 842 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally in
northwest Arkansas and also east of a Eufaula to Hugo line.
Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in Madison,
Crawford and Sebastian counties in Arkansas. The precipitation was
in the Fort Smith area. Movement was to the east at around 40 mph.
The average amount where it rained last hour was around one quarter
of an inch with maximum amounts of two to two and a half inches.
Coverage and intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa
area forecast for late this evening , late this evening and into
overnight, mostly clear, a slight chance of thunderstorms. Some
thunderstorms may be severe .
