Showers and isolated thunderstorms may linger into the afternoon across far eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Later this afternoon, storms will likely redevelop along a cold front which will lead to additional chances for severe weather, mainly across southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this afternoon and evening. While severe potential is not expected to as high as was seen yesterday, the strongest storms will be capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and will also carry a non zero tornado threat. Another storm system will arrive Tuesday, continuing to affect the area through Friday. The main impact will be repeated chances for precipitation and thunderstorms. Due to the previously wet conditions and additional rainfall, flooding may occur in spots. Gusty winds will also develop.
