...NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND A WET JULY AT KING SALMON ALASKA...

THE BRISTOL BAY AREA EXPERIENCED NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES FOR MOST OF THE MONTH OF
JULY FOR THE EXCEPTION OF JULY 3RD WHICH SAW ITS HIGHEST TEMPERATURE OF 79 DEGREES
FAHRENHEIT AND A COOL 39 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. THERE WERE MANY WET AND CLOUD DAYS.
THIS WAS CAUSED BY LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS MOVING ACROSS FROM THE PACIFIC OCEAN INTO
THE ALEUTIAN ISLANDS AND UP INTO THE BRISTOL BAY AREA BRINGING EXTENSIVE CLOUDINESS
AND PRECIPITATION INTO THE AREA. THE WETTEST DAY WAS JULY 16 WHICH SAW 0.75 INCHES
OF PRECIPITATION.

THE AVERAGE MONTHLY WIND SPEED WAS 7.9 MPH. THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF SUSTAINED WIND
WAS MEASURED ON THE 16TH WITH A SOUTHERLY WIND BLOWING TO 33 MPH. THE HIGHEST
SINGLE GUST OF 41 MPH ALSO OCCURRED ON THE 16TH.
