REMARKS...

GRAND FORKS WAS A WET AND SNOWY AREA DURING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER
2016. THE 25.6 INCHES OF ACCUMULATING SNOW WAS 5TH HIGHEST ON THE
LIST OF SNOWIEST DECEMBERS. THIS IS 15 INCHES ABOVE AVERAGE. IN
TERMS OF LIQUID EQUIVALENT, 1.84 INCHES RECEIVED TURNED OUT BE THE
3RD HIGHEST ON RECORD FOR DECEMBER. TEMPERATURES WERE VERY CLOSE TO
DECEMBER AVERAGES.

THERE WERE TWO DAILY SNOWFALL RECORDS SET DURING THE MONTH. DECEMBER
5 AND 6 EACH RECORDED 8.8 INCHES OF DAILY SNOWFALL, RECORDS FOR
BOTH OF THOSE DAYS.
