FALLS MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR JANUARY WAS 10.8 DEGREES WHICH WAS 6.4
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 4.4 DEGREES. MAKING THIS THE 13TH
WARMEST JANUARY IN STATION HISTORY. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR
THE MONTH WAS 40 DEGREES ON THE 19TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS
-39 DEGREES ON THE 13TH. FOUR DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE
BROKEN FOR THE MONTH AND ONE WAS TIED. ON THE 19TH THE RECORD HIGH
OF 40 DEGREES WAS TIED...WHICH WAS SET IN 1908. A RECORD WARMEST
MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 26 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE 20TH BREAKING THE
PREVIOUS RECORD OF 25 DEGREES SET IN 1974. A RECORD WARMEST
MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 33 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE 21ST BREAKING THE
PREVIOUS RECORD OF 29 DEGREES SET IN 1919. A RECORD HIGH

RECORDED. AT LEAST A TRACE OF PRECIPITATION WAS RECORDED ON 19 DAYS.
AT LEAST 0.01 OF AN INCH OF PRECIPITATION FELL ON 10 DAYS. AT LEAST
0.10 OF AN INCH FELL ON 6 DAYS. THERE WAS 16.9 INCHES OF SNOW FOR
THE MONTH WHICH IS 1.9 INCHES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 15.0 INCHES.
MAKING THIS TIED FOR THE 20TH SNOWIEST JANUARY IN STATION HISTORY.
THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF SNOWFALL IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD OCCURRED ON THE
2ND TO THE 3RD WHERE 7.8 INCHES OF SNOW WAS RECORDED. NO DAILY
PRECIPITATION RECORDS WERE SET.

THE AVERAGE WIND SPEED FOR THE MONTH WAS 6.8 MPH. THE WINDIEST DAY
FOR THE MONTH WAS ON THE 12TH WITH AN AVERAGE WIND OF 12.0 MPH. THE
HIGHEST SUSTAINED WIND OCCURRED ON THE 12TH WITH A SPEED OF 31 MPH
OUT OF THE WEST. A PEAK GUST OF 42 MPH FROM THE WEST WAS RECORDED ON

PRESSURE READING FOR THE MONTH WAS 30.87 INCHES REACHED ON THE 13TH

AND WARM TO THE MID SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO AT THE END OF THE
MONTH. NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR FEBRUARY IS 0.57 INCHES. NORMAL
SNOWFALL FOR FEBRUARY IS 10.8 INCHES. THE LATEST CLIMATE PREDICTION
CENTER OUTLOOK INDICATES THAT THERE IS NO CLEAR INDICATION FOR ABOVE
OR BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES...HOWEVER THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE
