HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN WI
253 PM CDT TUE SEP 20 2016

...HEAVY RAINFALL FOR CENTRAL WISCONSIN THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT...

REPEATED ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
CENTRAL WISCONSIN BEGINNING TONIGHT AND LASTING INTO THURSDAY
NIGHT AS A WARM FRONT BECOMES STALLED OVER THE AREA. ONE TO THREE
INCHES OF RAIN IS EXPECTED MAINLY NORTH OF A LINE FROM MADISON TO
SHEBOYGAN WITH LOCALLY MORE POSSIBLE NORTH OF A LINE FROM BARABOO
TO RIPON.

THE HEAVIEST PERIOD OF RAIN SHOULD BE WEDNESDAY NIGHT WHEN STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE HEAVY HOURLY RAINFALL RATES. THIS HEAVY
RAINFALL COULD PRODUCE FLOODING OF URBAN AND RURAL AREAS.
CURRENTLY...THE BARABOO RIVER IS FORECAST TO RISE TO AT LEAST
MINOR FLOOD STAGE BY THE END OF THE WEEK...BUT ANY LOCALIZED
HEAVIER RAINFALL IN THE BARABOO RIVER BASIN COULD RESULT IN THE
FLOODING OCCURRING MUCH SOONER. IF APPRECIABLY MORE RAINFALL IS
EXPECTED THAN CURRENTLY FORECAST...A FLOOD WATCH MAY BE ISSUED FOR
THESE LOCATIONS.
