...The National Weather Service in Paducah KY has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...Kentucky...Missouri...

  Ohio River at Cairo affecting Carlisle, Mississippi, Fulton,
  Ballard, Alexander, Pulaski and Hickman Counties.

For the Ohio River...including Owensboro, Newburgh Dam, Evansville,
Henderson, Mount Vernon, J.T. Myers Dam, Shawneetown, Golconda,
Smithland Dam, Paducah, Olmsted Lock and Dam, Cairo...Minor flooding
is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ohio River at Cairo.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning to Friday, May 17.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 36.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Saturday morning to a crest of 43.0 feet early Monday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday, May
    16.
  - Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
