FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR ALASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ANCHORAGE AK
354 PM AKDT SUN JUL 13 2014

.DISCUSSION...

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE CURRENTLY PUSHING THROUGH THE BRISTOL
BAY AREA AND LOWER KUSKOKWIM VALLEY HAS LED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF
NUMEROUS SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON. SHOWER ACTIVITY SHOULD BEGIN TO
SUBSIDE THIS EVENING AS THE DISTURBANCE BEGINS TO PUSH OUT OF THE
AREA AND HIGH PRESSURE BEGINS TO BUILD IN FROM SOUTHCENTRAL ALASKA.
THE HIGH SHOULD PERSIST THROUGH THE MAJORITY OF THE WEEK...LEADING
TO WARMER AND DRIER CONDITIONS.
