Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
559 AM MDT Mon May 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Morning sunshine will give way
to gusty north winds, colder temperatures, and showers and
isolated thunderstorms behind a cold front this afternoon. Smoke
dispersion and mixing will be very good to excellent due to the
increased winds. Humidities will only briefly drop off late this
morning into afternoon, and then increase again quickly behind the
front.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...
There will still be some north winds, cool temperatures and a
chance of showers on Tuesday. An upper ridge will bring dry and
warmer weather on Wednesday, then a cold front will bring a chance
of showers and storms mainly to the plains and the east slopes of
the Front Range beginning on Thursday. Cool northwest flow aloft
will continue through Friday with unsettled weather.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
