FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
343 PM EDT MON MAY 2 2016

.DISCUSSION...
AREAS OF LOW PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE MID
ATLANTIC STATES AND TRACK MAINLY SOUTH OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND
RIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY. THE RESULT WILL BE PREVAILING NORTHEAST
WINDS...PERIODS OF SHOWERS AND FOG AT TIMES. HOWEVER...THE ENTIRE
PERIOD WILL NOT BE A WASHOUT AS THERE WILL BE PERIODS OF DRY
WEATHER AS WELL.

HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL MAINLY BE IN THE 50S EACH DAY THIS
WEEK...WITH LOW TO MID 60S REALIZED BY WEEKS END AND INTO SATURDAY
ACROSS WESTERN SECTIONS. THE COOLEST READINGS WILL BE AT THE COAST
DUE TO THE NORTHEAST WINDS...AND THE MILDEST TEMPERATURES WILL BE
ACROSS THE LOWER CONNECTICUT RIVER VALLEY.

ON SUNDAY...SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED IN ASSOCIATION WITH A COLD FRONT
THAT WILL SWEEP THROUGH THE REGION FROM WEST TO EAST. THIS COLD
FRONT WILL FINALLY BRING A BREAK TO THE UNSETTLED PATTERN...WITH
MONDAY PROMISING TO BE DRY AND SEASONABLE FOR A CHANGE.

THE MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL BE 60 TO 70 PERCENT ON
TUESDAY...THEN 55 TO 65 PERCENT ON WEDNESDAY.
