FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA FOR SOUTH CAROLINA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
246 PM EDT TUE JUL 22 2014

.DISCUSSION...ADDITIONAL SCATTERED SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORMS
CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH THIS EVENING...AS AVAILABLE ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE
REMAINS HIGH WITH WEAK TO MODERATE INSTABILITY. BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL
COULD RESULT IN LOCALIZED FLOODING.

PATCHY FOG IS POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING...ESPECIALLY
NEAR RIVER VALLEYS AND WHERE SIGNIFICANT RAIN HAS FALLEN. A CONTINUED
WEAK PRESSURE GRADIENT AND THE STABILIZING EFFECT OF RAINFALL WILL
SUPPORT VERY POOR DISPERSION TONIGHT.

PARTIAL DRYING WILL LIMIT SHOWER ACTIVITY ON WEDNESDAY...AS SURFACE AND
TRANSPORT WINDS BECOME MORE WESTERLY. WIND SPEEDS WILL REMAIN GENERALLY
10 MPH OR LESS DURING THE DAY.
