FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
345 AM CDT WED JUL 1 2015

.DISCUSSION...
UNSETTLED WEATHER IS FORECAST FOR THE LATTER HALF OF THIS
WEEK...AS A NORTHWESTERLY FLOW ALOFT PREVAILS. THIS UPPER
FLOW WILL SEND A SERIES OF UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES OVER THE
REGION. THESE DISTURBANCES MOVING OVER AN ALREADY MOIST AND
UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE...WILL LEAD TO NUMEROUS SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORMS. SOME OF THE STORMS COULD BECOME STRONG TO
SEVERE IN INTENSITY...WITH DAMAGE WINDS THE PRIMARY THREAT.
LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING IS ALSO LIKELY.

RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES BOTH TODAY AND THURSDAY WILL REMAIN
HIGHER THAN 50 PERCENT. FAIR TO GENERALLY GOOD DISPERSION
RATES TODAY...WILL BECOME GOOD ON THURSDAY...AS TRANSPORT
WINDS AROUND 10 MPH TODAY...INCREASE TO AROUND 25 MPH DURING
THURSDAY.
