FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
143 PM CST SUN DEC 28 2014

.DISCUSSION...

LIGHT RAIN WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE
THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS...AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES TO
THE NORTHEAST. ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN LIGHT AND RAIN
SHOULD BEGIN TO TAPER OFF AFTER MIDNIGHT. DRY AND COOL AIR WILL
FILTER INTO THE FORECAST AREA BEHIND A SURFACE COLD FRONT...THAT MOVED
THROUGH THIS MORNING...AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN. THIS WILL BRING
TRANQUIL WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA THROUGH THE
MIDDLE OF THE WORKWEEK...WITH DISPERSION VALUES IMPROVING BY TUESDAY.
