Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
238 PM MST Tue May 23 2017

....Elevated fire danger levels due to strong gusty winds and low
humidities during the afternoon/evening hours Wednesday and again
on Thursday...

.DISCUSSION...
Above-normal temperatures are once again expected on Wednesday
area- wide, before a minor cooling trend occurs on Thursday.
Low pressure moving into the Great Basin to increase the winds
across the region on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings.
Sustained wind speeds of 10-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph will be
possible each day. These winds, combined with humidities in the
single digits will result in elevated fire danger levels,
especially across southeast California and southern Gila County.

Note...Additional Fire Weather Forecast information can be found
in the Area Forecast Discussion. See product PHXAFDPSR.
