Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
755 PM MDT Mon Oct 23 2017

.Discussion...

Dry weather will continue across the district through Wednesday
with temperatures near to slightly below normal on Tuesday
increasing to above normal for Wednesday. Winds will be lighter
across the area on Tuesday though some breezy north winds will
spread across the far southeast plains in the afternoon.
Warmer temperatures on Wednesday will mean lower RHs and the
potential for near critical fire weather conditions for the
lower southeast mountains and adjacent plains, however wind
gusts look like they will stay just under critical thresholds.

A cold front will drop through the area on Thursday bringing gusty
north winds up to 40 mph and a significant cool down to the district
through Friday. Isolated to scattered snow showers will be possible for
the mountains Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning,
though any accumulations will likely remain light. Drier and
warmer weather will return for next weekend.

Afternoon dispersions on Tuesday will rise into the good to very
good category for most areas, though some areas of excellent can
be expected across the far southeast plains. Similar dispersions
can be expected for Wednesday, though dispersions will be a little
lower across the plains due to lighter winds.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
