.Discussion...

A winter storm will bring wind and snow to all of the district
today. Snowfall amounts will range between 6 and 12 inches in
the mountains and 1 to 4 inches on the plains. The San Luis
valley will receive little if any snow.

The remainder of the forecast looks dry at this time. The only
exception will be late in the week when a weather system
affects the mountains.

Near critical fire weather conditions will be possible late
in the week across the plains.

Smoke dispersion will be very good or better today across
the entire district.
