Current warnings/watches...Winter Weather Advisories are in effect
from this afternoon through at least tonight for the
Cascades...the San Juan Islands...Western Whatcom and Western Skagit
Counties and the East Puget Sound Lowlands.

.DISCUSSION....Cold and sometimes unsettled northwest flow aloft will
continue through next week. Another system will move southeast
across Western Washington later today and tonight with lowland
snow transitioning to rain. Moderate mountain snow is expected
into Saturday morning. Another cold wet system will dive south
into the area late Saturday night and Sunday, with another round
of moderate mountain snow, along with some localized areas of
lowland snow. A bit of a break in the action possible on Monday
before more systems moving down from the northwest arrive in the
middle of the next week.

 Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
