SPREAD EAST NORTHEAST ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION THIS MORNING...BEFORE
DIMINISHING FOR THE AFTERNOON AS THE PARENT UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE
SHIFTS NORTHEAST INTO KANSAS FROM OKLAHOMA. RAINFALL AMOUNTS TODAY WILL
GENERALLY RANGE FROM A QUARTER TO HALF INCH...BUT ADDITIONAL SCATTERED
SHOWER REDEVELOPMENT IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE LATER TODAY THROUGH TONIGHT
ACROSS THE REGION AS A COLD FRONT SLOWLY DRIFTS SOUTHEAST INTO EAST TEXAS
AND WESTERN ARKANSAS THIS AFTERNOON...AND INTO SOUTHCENTRAL ARKANSAS AND
NORTHWEST LOUISIANA LATE TONIGHT. THIS FRONT WILL DRIFT SOUTHEAST INTO
SOUTHEAST TEXAS AND CENTRAL LOUISIANA TUESDAY...ALTHOUGH SCATTERED
SHOWERS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE NEAR AND JUST NORTH OF THE FRONT AFFECTING
PRIMARILY EAST TEXAS AND NORTH LOUISIANA. THIS FRONT SHOULD SLOWLY BEGIN
TO RETURN BACK NORTH AS A WARM FRONT WEDNESDAY...WITH PERIODS OF SHOWERS
AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED OVER MUCH OF THE AREA. THE RAIN IS
EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY DIMINISH FROM WEST TO EAST THURSDAY AS A COLD FRONT
