.DISCUSSION...
Dry northerly flow aloft this morning will transition to light and
variable this afternoon. This will make winds at the burn location
terrain driven less than 6 mph this afternoon. As an upper-level
trough approaches from the northwest tonight, west to northwest winds
will increase. An associated backdoor cold front is forecast to
move through the burn area around sunrise Thursday. Southeast winds
in the 7 to 14 mph range are expected Thursday along with temperatures
12 to 17 degrees cooler than today. Scattered light snow showers are
possible Thursday afternoon and early evening as the trough slides
southeast through northern and central NM.
