.DISCUSSION...A low pressure trough was shifting east through the
region early this morning and will exit east of the fire area late
this afternoon. As of 0100 MDT, nearby weather platforms had
received 0.15 to 1.00 inches of precipitation in the past 24-hours
with still more to come today. We should see a brief respite with
improving conditions tonight as the next upstream Pacific storm
system sets up off the northwest coast. As this system moves onshore
Wednesday, expect another round of widespread valley rain and
mountain snowfall with snow levels generally running between 6500
and 7000 ft MSL throughout the day Wednesday.
