.NOW...

...Showers will continue to move southwest over the Atlantic and
into the coastal counties...

Breezy northeast winds behind a slow moving cool front will persist
across east central Florida this evening. Scattered showers with
locally heavy downpours will continue to move southwest at around 20
MPH over the near shore Atlantic and onshore the coastal counties.

the heaviest rain will fall from New Smyrna Beach to Cape Canaveral
and between Floridana Beach and Vero Beach. Within these areas...
locally heavy downpours producing up to around one half inch of
rainfall will occur in a few locations.

Northeast winds increasing to around 20 knots will spread southward
to around Sebastian Inlet...with seas building to 5 to 7 feet near
shore and 7 to 10 feet well offshore. This will produce increasingly
hazardous boating and beach conditions tonight.
