.SYNOPSIS...Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose was centered near 40N 69W,
or about 100 nm SE of Nantucket at 11 PM EDT tonight with maximum
winds around 35 kt just to the W and SW of the center. The
National Hurricane Center issued their final advisory on Jose at
5 PM EDT today. Post-Tropical Cyclone Jose is nearly stationary,
but will drift SE on Sat and reach a position near 39N 67W at
8 PM Sat night as it continues to weaken. Post- Tropical Cyclone
Jose will remain over this same general area Sun into Sun night,
and then dissipate by Mon. Also, S to SE swell from Hurricane
Maria will impact the area tonight through Wed night. Hurricane
Maria will approach from the S Sun and Sun night, and is expected
to be near 29.7N 72.8W at 8 PM EDT Sun evening, 31.7N 72.4W at
8 PM Mon evening, 33.5N 72.3W at 8 PM Tue evening, and to near
35.5N 71.0W at 8 PM Wed evening. Refer to the latest National
Hurricane Center advisory for Hurricane Maria. Otherwise, a weak
high pres ridge will persist over the S and central waters
through Sat, then weaken and dissipate Sat night.
